Muscle Activation Techniques
The revolutionary approach of MAT can be summed up in three steps:
#1 Identify Weakness
Your neuromuscular function is assessed through range of motion tests. Then muscular strength tests correlating to those limited ranges of motion show us the weak muscles we will work on.

#2 Activate Muscles
Once we identify weak muscles, MAT uses isometric contractions and palpations to the origin and insertion of your muscles to activate the weak muscles connection to the nervous system, and increase contractile efficiency (strength).
#3 Restore Function
The connection between your nervous system and muscular system is re-established and reinforced, leading to increased movement, reduced pain, and stronger muscles. Specific Isometric exercises are prescribed if necessary. Clients describe fewer injuries, greater resilience, longevity, and increased strength & performance in their activities.
